BSI moves into Manchester

Corporate hotel bookings agency BSI is to open a second UK location.

A base in Manchester is being added to the company’s Taunton head office and a location in Paris.

BSI is to target corporate clients and SMEs in the North West through the new location in Cheadle.

Overseen by operations manager Karen Shiels, BSI will operate a full hotel and conference booking service from the site, which will also house part of the company’s new sales team, under sales director Kevin Wayt.

Deputy managing director Richard Eades said: “We conducted a great deal of research before choosing Manchester, and carried out feasibility studies on several alternative locations. However, the site in Cheadle, is easily accessible by road or air, and in a prime location for attracting experienced staff.

“We really feel that there is a lot of opportunity for BSI to expand in this region of the country.

“In particular, the north has a thriving SME market, and this is an area that we really feel we are equipped to serve. To expand in this area, it’s crucial that we adopt a flexible approach and adapt our offer to suit a variety of needs. The most effective way to do this is through regular contact with our clients and suppliers, so it makes sense to open an office as nearby as possible.”
