Budapest Airport getting new Kazakhstan flights
Budapest Airport has added a second new airline to its carrier roll call this year.
It will soon welcome the launch of a new direct route connecting Budapest and Shymkent, Kazakhstan, operated by SCAT Airlines.
The route debuts on 27 May 2025.
It becomes the first Kazakhstan route for the airport.
SCAT Airlines will operate twice-weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays, aboard Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
“This new route to Shymkent is a significant milestone for Budapest Airport, further strengthening our connectivity with Central Asia,” said Máté Ritter, Head of Airline Development, Budapest Airport.
“We are thrilled to welcome SCAT Airlines to Budapest and look forward to a successful collaboration.”
The initial operation is planned for one year, starting in May.
