Budget hotel group looks to expand in California
Hotel group Value Place plans to build up to 12 new properties in Southern California.
The Wichita-based company, which claims to be the largest brand for budget extended-stay hotels, has instructed San Diego-based KZ DevCo to source suitable sites in Southern California.
The hotel group is seeking two-acre sites in a number of areas including metro Los Angeles, San Diego, Long Beach, Orange County, and Ventura.
Several of the new hotels will be wholly owned and managed properties while some will be developed by franchisees.
Value Place operates more than 180 hotels in 32 states and earlier this week announced its latest addition with the opening of Value Place Jacksonville North in Florida.
