Business-only airline to add Washington flights
Business class carrier Maxjet is to start a Stansted-Wasington DC service early next year.
The airline is also to increase frequency on its Stansted-New York route to a daily service.
Five flights a week to Washington Dulles are due to start in late-February, the same month that a Saturday frequency to New York will be introduced.
Maxjet is adding second and third aircraft to its fleet to enable the Washington connection to be launched.
Prices for the Washington flights have not yet been unveiled but fares to New York start at £854 return on the airline’s 102-seat all business class Boeing 767.
CEO Gary Rogliano said: “Our load factor levels and customer reaction to our product has been overwhelming positive and encouraging. That is why Maxjet is pleased to proceed with its plans to add aircraft, routes and customer service offerings.”
