Business Travel Market claims to have exceeded last year’s number of exhibitors signed up with six weeks to go to the show in London.
The two-day event has attracted more travel management companies than in 2009 including BCD, Capita, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, FCm and Ian Allan Travel, as well as more hotel booking agencies and technology providers such as GetThere, HRS and Travelport.
Exhibitors from the airline sector include Air France, Bmi, British Airways, Cathy Pacific, Etihad, Flybe, Kingfisher, KLM, Star Alliance, Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
Accommodation groups attending include Accor, BridgeStreet, Oberoi, Premier Inn Sol Melia, Starwood, Taj Hotels and SACO, while transport and technology providers such as Carey, Eurostar and RailGo are also attending the event on June 16-17 at ExCel in London’s Docklands.
Europe’s top 500 travel buyers, each responsible for €300,000 – €100m in corporate travel spend, are expected to be among more than 4,000 delegates.
More than 90 high speakers are lined up to take part in a conference agenda featuring 20 sessions across four programmes which has been developed in association with key industry bodies ITM, ACTE and the HBAA.
Business Travel Market director Paul Robin said: “We are so pleased with the support we have seen for the event and are confident that this year’s BTM will be even better than last year and provide a real ROI for all attendees and exhibitors.
“We know that there was a huge amount of business done as a result of last year’s event and are positive all delegates will have an extremely productive two days out of the office.”
