California food tourism showcased in Michelin Guide

California food tourism is in the spotlight with the release of the fourth edition of the MICHELIN Guide California.

Unveiled by Visit California, It has 100 newly starred restaurants awarded.

The fourth edition included a total of 599 restaurants.

It includes 11 Green Stars awarded for leadership in sustainability practices.

California food tourism boasts 11 of just 13 Green Stars across North America.

The California guide is a state-wide edition which also includes Bib Gourmand and Plate recommendations.

Restaurants included hail from dozens of cities including LA, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, the Bay Area, and San Diego.

All restaurants were reviewed and awarded according to Michelin’s independent inspection and selection process.

“California’s world-class chefs and restaurants are a true testament to our state’s diverse and creative culinary scene,” Visit California President & CEO Caroline Beteta said.
