The Public Relations Department at Conrad Jupiters has an immediate vacancy for a Public Relations Officer. Reporting to the Public Relations Manager, the key responsibilities of this role will include:
• Media Relations – writing press releases and coordinating media opportunities to generate media exposure.
• Supervision of photo and film shoots.
• Assisting PR Manager with various sponsorships and coordination of special events.
• Coordination of entertainment schedules.
• Attending to enquiries from the general public and other stakeholders
• Office administration duties i.e. filing, taking minutes,
• Maintain databases & coordinate mail-outs
• Writing Award submissions
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
To be successful you will have:
Degree qualifications (Communications, PR, Marketing) or equivalent
1- 2 years min experience in a similar role
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Access, Excel (50+wpm typing), Adobe, Power Point
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong writing skills
Excellent organisational skills
The ability to work flexible hours as required
Well groomed and dynamic outgoing personality, must be able to host and entertain clients
