Caribbean Airlines drops Heathrow-Trinidad
Caribbean Airlines is to stop serving Heathrow from Trinidad and will instead run a codeshare with British Airways to Gatwick.
The carrier’s daily flights to Heathrow will stop on March 27, 2007 and be replaced by three flights a week from Gatwick using a BA Boeing 777.
On other days, the airline will offer a “seamless” connecting service between Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, and London via Barbados.
The direct flights will be offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The airline’s CEO Peter Davies said: “Our customers will enjoy increased consistency and a higher quality of service at competitive ticket prices. Caribbean Airlines will also stand to gain financially from all seats booked on the service.”
