Carlson targets SME sector with “tried and tested” solution

Carlson Wagonlit Travel has officially launched its Corporate Select product for small to medium sized businesses.

The solution offers clients a ‘one stop’ travel booking service with its own dedicated business travel centre. Payment is made by credit card, with a transaction fee charged on each booking.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel North Europe executive vice president Jim Tweedie said: “The small to medium sized business sector is a vital part of this country’s economy. We recognised that a different approach was required for company’s spending up to £500,000 on their travel, as opposed to the larger corporations who spend anything up to £5 million who have different needs.

He added: “Corporate Select is now a tried and tested product and we will be promoting it vigorously.”

The travel management firm claims that Corporate Select has already won the agency 70 new clients since its unofficial introduction last May.
