Carnival Victory to change name after refurb
Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled plans for a major refurbishment of Carnival Victory in 2020, after which the 2,758-passenger ship will re-launch as Carnival Radiance.
During a 38-day dry dock in Cadiz, all existing cabins will be revamped and 100 new cabins will be added.
There will be numerous new restaurants and bars and a new recreation area with basketball court, miniature golf course, and a water park.
Homeport and itinerary details for the new ship will be announced in mid-November.
Customers who want to be the first to book can register to get a ‘first to know’ alert and special promotional offer when itineraries are opened for sale.
The investment represents the final phase of a $2 billion fleet enhancement programme.
Started in 2011, the programme has seen refurbishments to more than 20 ships and the delivery of three new ships. Three more ships are scheduled for delivery through 2022.
