Celebrity Cruises investing $250 million to upgrade Solstice Series ships
Celebrity Cruises is giving its classic Solstice Series ships a top to bottom modern makeover.
The line is investing more than $250 million to modernise the ships, starting with Celebrity Solstice in 2026.
They will sport eight new experiences, including four new-to-sea spaces, and many redesigned favourites.
It includes reinvented outdoor spaces with enhanced views, new restaurants and entertainment, as well as all new stateroom categories and stateroom upgrades.
Celebrity Solstice will be the first of the Solstice Series ships to be made new again, from March 2026.
The ship will visit Alaska, Hawaii, Fiji, and the best of Southeast Asia.
Plus, guests will have the opportunity to sail 110-nights through more than 55 ports on The Grand Voyage from September to December 2026.
“Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising, and now we’re elevating this vacation experience even further by adding brand new experiences and enhancements,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises.
New features include:
Boulevard Lounge – A brand-new cabaret-inspired lounge venue. It will host interactive daytime activities like new game shows and trivia to concerts and dueling pianos.
Boulevard Bar – Just steps away from the lounge, guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails before or after the show.
Celebrity Barcade – A new, elevated sports bar, the perfect place to both watch and play games. Guests can catch their favourite sports teams from multiple screens or challenge friends to billiards, darts, or their favorite retro board game.
Trattoria Rossa – Modern Italian dining inspired by Italian classics, including fresh pasta made from scratch daily.
Fine Cut Steakhouse – The Edge Series favourite steakhouse will bring upscale dining. The menu includes 30-day dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood in an elegant setting.
Other highlights include elevated facilities at The Retreat with an all-new sundeck, enhanced suites and a reimagined Retreat Lounge.
Every stateroom will receive upgrades with refreshed AquaClass staterooms and the introduction of four brand-new categories.
