Celebrity increases Caribbean capacity

Celebrity Cruises is dedicating a second ship to the Caribbean for summer 2003.

Century was originally going to be sailed to Europe for summer 2003, but will now offer seven-night Caribbean cruises year-round, joining sister-ship Galaxy.

Celebrity ships Millennium and Constellation will continue to sail in Europe, joined by Royal Caribbean International’s three ships; Splendour of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas, and Grandeur of the Seas.

The redeployment of Century means that 17 of its Mediterranean cruises and two transatlantic crossings have been cancelled. Guests on the cancelled cruises can rebook on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity itineraries, and receive a £65 discount per cabin. Agents will receive a £32 rebooking fee.
