Centara signs deal for first hotel in China
ThaiIand hospitality group Centara Hotels & Resorts has made its first inroads into the China market, with an agreement to manage a new hotel in Guangdong province.
The property will be named Centara Resort Zhaoqing and is slated to open by the end of 2017.
"I believe this resort is an ideal start for our expansion in China, and it provides a valuable synergy with our other Centara properties around the world," said Chris Bailey, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Centara.
The company has signed a management agreement with Zhaoqing Yuhao Properties Development for the 250 room hotel located in the city of Zhaoqing.
The family orientated resort will feature a water park, swimming pools, a kids’ club, meeting space and restaurant.
It will also have a 800 square metre ballroom, fitness centre and spa.
