Chairlift rides in the summer
Summit Chairlift rides, taking you to the roof of the world, at Falls Creek Alpine Resort between 28 Dec – 1 Jan 2006 10am-4pm daily (weather permitting).
For a nominal cost an Adult can purchase a ticket on the resort’s popular chairlift for $10 valid for as many rides as they wish that day. A child, 14 years & under, ticket is $6. Also valid all day.
Visitors are whisked uphill to an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll (downhill) along an extensive array of undulating tracks which begin in Falls Creek Alpine Village. More adventurous visitors can pop their Mt bike on to the Summit Chairlift for a challenging ride down the picturesque alpine resort’s steepest ski run.
A longer, even more interesting Mt bike ride, is via The Maze – a network of trails that wind through ancient snowgums – its steep and long.
Compact, pocket-size, full colour guides, produced by Falls Creek Alpine Resort, provide information in relation to where you can enjoy Mt biking at the resort. Either (or both) the Ride and Drive or the Walks Guide will motivate you to discover the natural attributes of the year-round resort. There are some surprisingly picturesque locations a short ride, or stroll, from the heart of Falls Creek.
