Check Point Travel to roll out Dolphin online booking technology

Friday, 08 May, 2016 0

Check Point Travel, an independent travel company based in Aarhus, Denmark has reached agreement to deploy Dolphin Dynamics’ booking technology as part of a major strategic investment in its online presence.

Established for 20 years, the independent long-haul travel specialist already uses Dolphin back-office, sales and contract management technology to run its offline travel activity. The new online service will also provide a search and booking capability for Check Point Customers across pre-built travel packages comprising flights, accommodation, transfers and excursions.

Dolphin’s back-end technology will be used to create holidays for sale and to manage content presented on the Check Point Travel website, including digital product content, descriptions and pricing.  With all product availability and booking-related content sourced via Dolphin’s web service API, enabling Check Point Travel to build a fully-bespoke website reflecting its brand identity and user journey requirements.

Commenting on the Check Point Travel’s further investment in online, Henrik Saermark-Thomsen said, "Developing our online booking capability is key to the continued growth of our company. Particularly important as our business develops is to ensure there is integration between our online and offline activity, so that we can manage bookings efficiently and continue to provide a great service via every customer touchpoint. A further investment in Dolphin was therefore a natural step to ensure we can benefit from single, integrated technology platform right across our business."

Roberto Da Re, CEO at Dolphin Dynamics added, "We’re delighted to be working closely with Check Point Travel as it embarks on a major new business expansion initiative. Working hand-in-hand with customers to help them grow is key to maintaining a strong partnership and a relationship based on mutual success."
