Chicago tourism supercharges UK travel trade engagement
Chicago tourism officials have wrapped up a series of high-profile industry events in London to strengthen relationships with key travel trade partners.
Choose Chicago’s Tourism and Global Development team presented at a host of high-profile industry events in the capital.
It includes Unite USA, which hosted 70 trade partners, including senior product managers and decision-makers responsible for US travel portfolios.
Choose Chicago held 17 targeted one-to-one meetings with tour operator partners.
Following Unite USA, Choose Chicago hosted a networking reception and activation for 130 travel trade buyers, travel media, and UK trade professionals.
The reception highlighted the Route 66 centennial through themed branding, giveaways, and a live art activation.
Chicago is positioning itself as a key starting point for road trips on the Mother Road and generated strong interest among tour operators.
Also, the Visit USA Members Meeting, held at the U.S. Embassy, brought together 100 travel trade partners and agencies.
It provided an opportunity to connect with organizations actively promoting US travel in the UK and to exchange insights on market trends.
The Choose Chicago team also attended the first-ever British Airways Destination Partner Day alongside 100 tourist boards and destination partners, offering strategic networking opportunities.
The Choose Chicago Tourism and Global Development team is responsible for creating and overseeing travel trade sales and destination marketing efforts.
