China Eastern Airlines resumes Boeing 737-800 flights
China Eastern Airlines has restarted flights operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft for the first time since last month’s crash.
The airline said it has fully verified airworthiness of the aircraft with comprehensive tests and checkups.
Some are still undergoing maintenance checks.
A Boeing 737-800 plane crashed on March 21
China Eastern flight MU5843 departed Kunming on Sunday and landed safely in Chengdu.
Other Boeing 737-800s conducted test flights over the weekend.
China has both of the black boxes and will soon release a preliminary accident report.
