China warns over Vietnam violence
China has warned its citizens not to travel to Vietnam following violence against Chinese nationals.
China will also suspend plans for bilateral exchanges with Vietnam in response to incidents, triggered by a row over the South China Sea, that have left two Chinese nationals dead and more than 100 others injured.
Some 4,000 Chinese nationals affected by the recent anti-foreign violence in Vietnam are heading home.
Beijing has dispatched four ships, each with a capacity of about 1,000 passengers, for the evacuation mission, and two more are on stand-by.
Since the violence, there has been a heavy police presence on the streets of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh in a bid to subdue protests.
