CityJet teams up with Channel Island airline
CityJet has teamed up with Blue Islands to link the Channel Islands with the major European cities.
Currently Channel Island airline, Blue Islands, operates alternate day direct flights from Jersey to Europe.
These will be replaced by the CityJet codeshare, which will offer daily services to Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin , Antwerp and Rotterdam via London City Airport.
Passengers will also benefit from APD (Air Passenger Duty) savings when booking connecting flights through the codeshare.
Patrick Lukan, CityJet’s chief commercial officer said: "I’m delighted to announce this partnership between two like-minded regional carriers, working together in a creative way to provide an inclusive travel experience for all our customers.
"This codeshare opens a number of new European destinations for Blue Island passengers through our extensive network from London City Airport, together with increased choice, convenience and flexibility."
The new daily connecting flights via London City will start early next year.
Blue Islands will cease to operate its alternate day flights to Amsterdam and Paris and its twice weekly Zurich service. The Geneva service will continue to operate during the ski seasons.
