Clarity has appointed Colin Birchenough in the new role of head of commercial.

He joins the travel management company from Dnata in Dubai and will report to director of product and commercial Sue Chapman.

A statement from the group said Chapman’s own role has grown significantly following the company’s recent acquisition of Portman and its brand relaunch.

Birchenough will take overall responsibility for Clarity’s supplier relations and partnership development with a team of 12.

CEO Pat McDonagh said: "Colin’s appointment signals another ambitious step in our continued growth and we’re in no doubt that his extensive industry experience will allow Clarity to achieve its goals of being at the forefront of a brighter, more focused approach to business travel."
