Clerical error forces ABTA to change General Meeting date

Tuesday, 28 Oct, 2015 0

ABTA has been forced to change its General Meeting after a clerical error led to some members not getting notification.

The trade association said that the meeting would now be held on November 25th at 2pm instead of November 10th as there is a requirement for members to have 14 days’ clear notice of the date.

It said: "We have made the decision to restart the notice process and to hold the General Meeting instead on November 25th at 1400 to ensure that all Members receive the proper notice and have the opportunity to vote and attend the Meeting. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

"Replacement Notices will be sent out next week."

Members who have received the notice for November 10th are advised to discard it and await the replacement Notice.

ABTA added: "The old Proxy Forms are coloured yellow and should be discarded. The replacement Proxy Forms will be coloured pink to ensure that there is no confusion. All the Resolutions remain the same as in the original Notice."
