Club Med completes £24m Dominican Republic resort revamp
New facilities for families and couples have been introduced as part of a £24 million revamp of Club Med’s Punta Cana resort in the Dominican Republic.
The property now offers 427 Club rooms, 94 deluxe rooms and 32 luxury family suites.
The refurbishment is part of a global renovation programme by the all inclusive operator.
Among the improvements at Punta Cana is a new spa with ten treatment rooms, three palapas set on the beach and a relaxation room.
The three restaurants have also been redecorated.
Punta Cana caters for children aged four months to less than 18 years by providing age-specific supervision and entertainment. Facilities range from sports and art at an entertainment and babysitting facility for children aged 11 to 17 to swimming and circus school at Mini Club Med for children aged four to 10.
The company is offering early bookings discounts for bookings made by February 28 of up to £200 per adult and £100 per child.
This means seven nights at Punta Cana starts at £1,390 for each adult and £984 per child including flights, activities, dining and drinks, departing August 29.
