Club Med signals Bali recovery in 2007

Club Med is continuing its ambitious strategy of upgrading its Asia Pacific region resorts with extensive refurbishments underway at Club Med Nusa Dua in Bali with further improvements planned for the next 12 months.

Club Med GM Heidi Kunkel confirms that the company is committed to continued investment in the Bali resort which boasts a stunning beachfront location within the exclusive Nusa Dua region, adding, “Club Med Nusa Dua forward sales are very promising with triple digit growth versus the same period last year” adding, “The West Australian market which is key to Bali’s recovery due to its close proximity is performing extremely well and forward bookings out of Perth are especially strong with bookings also showing an increase in length of stay which is more good news.”

Club Med Nusa Dua has recently been awarded in the top ten Best Family Friendly Overseas Resorts which has been recognised for its fully supervised kids club which offer fun and educational activities for children at no extra cost.

Ms Kunkel added. “Club Med’s unique family offering has attracted a number of awards in recent years and this most recent award for Nusa Dua highlights that the family market is poised to return to Bali in 2007 although growth may build more gradually than the couples segment which is traditionally more resilient”.

“The fully supervised Kids Club at Club Med’s Bali village represents exceptional value for families, giving the parents the freedom to relax while the kids are having a great time doing activities to suit their age.”

Club Med Nusa Dua is continuing to improve its services in 2007 with a new fully-equipped Club Med Fitness area to be opened in April and significant room refurbishments across the village.

Club Med says demand for extra comfort from the Australian and Asia-Pacific markets is underpinning the upgrade of an additional 28 rooms to the deluxe category.

All 92 deluxe rooms will have flat screen televisions installed and for guests seeking the ultimate in luxury Club Med Nusa Dua suites feature spacious living spaces and terraces in addition to the well-appointed rooms.

All Club Med resorts employ a security team offering constant but non-invasive security presence across all resort areas designed to provide guests with peace of mind for the duration of their stay.

Club Med Nusa Dua is currently offering a bonus night for any booking of six nights Club Med will throw in an extra night free. Packages start from $1,902 per person.
