Co-op website attracts 500 bookings in a month

Almost 500 bookings have been generated in a month by a revamped United Co-op Travel Group website.

The company claims the bookings have come as a result of 100,000 visits to the site which generated 5,000 holiday enquiries.

Online booking is to be added to the site in addition to other enchancements.

The site at www.cooptravelshop.co.uk features more than 500,000 deals from more than 75 holiday companies.

Daniel Forster, general manager of the web division for United Co-op Travel Group, said: “The website has been redesigned with a number of key and exciting enhancements and has now become the core branded site for United Co-op Travel Group, replacing all the existing product specific sites.

Online booking capability will be introduced very soon and, in the coming months, the site will launch a series of enhancements as we will continue to strengthen our position in offering customers a number of ways to book their holiday.”
