UK-based ground transport and accommodation specialist CMAC Group has been acquired by Singapore’s ComfortDelGro Corporation
ComfortDelGro has purchased the company through its wholly-owned subsidiary CityFleet Networks.
CMAC Group has operations in the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and The Netherlands.
It manages journeys for almost three million travellers annually on behalf of airlines, ground handlers, train operators and corporations
CMAC’s Suntransfers brand operates private and share-ride transfers to over 500 airports, stations and ports.
This acquisition increases ComfortDelGro’s footprint to 12 countries worldwide.
In the UK, it already owns and operates taxis and private hire vehicles through CityFleet Networks in Aberdeen, Liverpool and the Northwest,
It also operates Metroline buses and Westbus coaches in London, Adventure Travel buses and coaches in Wales, and Megabus, Scottish and Irish Citylink inter-city coach services.
CMAC will continue as an independent operation, led by its current senior leadership team, including CEO Peter Slater.
