COMO Hotels launching new Bhutan itinerary
With Bhutan ready to welcome tourists for the first time since March 2020, COMO Hotels and Resorts is launching a new seven-night itinerary.
The Jewels of Bhutan itinerary incorporates epic drives, unique nature walks and monastery visits, including a hike through the Paro Valley to reach the Taktsang ‘Tiger’s Nest’ Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most iconic pieces of architecture.
Highlights include the chance to engage with young monks at Chorten Ningpo, the Chimmi Lhakhang, an ancient fertility temple; and views of the Himalayas from the Dochu La mountain pass.
Guests can rediscover COMO’s two luxury lodges, COMO Uma Paro and COMO Uma Punakha, during the new itinerary.
The first night is spent at COMO Uma Paro, whch overlooks rice paddies and ancient monasteries.
Transferring to COMO Uma Punakha for the following three nights, the property has lodge-style accommodation with views of the Mo Chu River, and seasonally led local dining experiences.
Guests then return to Paro for three additional nights to complete their journey.
The Jewels of Bhutan also includes a traditional butter lamp ceremony spiritual blessing.
A deeply spiritual destination, Bhutan’s population uplifts and encourages positivity for all visitors.
This year sees the long-awaited opening of the Trans-Bhutan Trail, connecting 250 miles of valleys and districts along centuries-old pathways
Much of it can be explored during COMO’s Jewels of Bhutan itinerary.
