Competition heats up at Dulles
Major carriers Delta and Northwest announced new or expanded service out of Washington Dulles.
The move was clearly in response to Independence Air, which just began operations.
Delta said it will increase its own Atlanta-Dulles service from 11 flights to 15, as of 1 Aug.
Northwest announced it will launch Northwest Airlink CFJ service between Landing, Mich., and Dulles. There will be four weekday flights starting July 15.
