Condor Airlines spreading wings to Kuala Lumpur
German leisure carrier Condor Airlines will wing its way to Kuala Lumpur from next year.
Kicking off in November 2018, Condor will operate Frankfurt-Kuala Lumpur flights supported by a marketing collaboration agreement with Tourism Malaysia.
The service will run three times a week on A330 jets, and becomes the first route linbking Germany and Malaysia for a couple of years since both Lufthansa and Malaysia Airlines scrapped their services.
"I look forward to welcoming Condor Airlines to the KLIA family, come November 2018. I am happy that we are able to expand our connectivity from Europe, which will further enhance KLIA as a regional hub. The collaboration that Malaysia Airports and Tourism Malaysia recently established is instrumental to woo airlines like Condor Airlines to start operations to Malaysia," said Malaysia Airports MD, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali.
Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airports will participate in a joint marketing initiative to woo passengers on the route, which has a weekly capacity of about 850 inbound seats.
Badlisham said Malaysia Airports would support Condor Airlines in operational matters at KLIA.
Condor Airlines currently operates to 62 destinations in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
