Conventions are music to Brandon ears
The tourism base of Branson, Missouri is based almost entirely on country music but the area’s future will also involve the convention and meeting market.
The 220,000 square foot planned Branson Convention Center is underway as part of the city’s $425 million Branson Landing development.
Hilton Hotels Corp. is prominent in the development. The company will manage the convention center.
The 233-room Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is also due to open in July. It will have 2,000 square feet of meeting space.
Hilton also plans to open the 293-room Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel next year.
Various other developments are planned in Branson, which in the past has not yet a first-class convention center with a headquarters hotel.
