Court rejects bid to block Hawaiian Airlines’vaccine mandate
A federal judge blocked a legal bid to halt Hawaiian Airlines’ mandatory vaccination policy for employees. U.S. District Court Judge Jill Otake said employees taking legal action had not met any of the conditions needed to secure a temporary injunction.
Employees claimed the policy violated federal law and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Plaintiffs cited religious beliefs and medical conditions. Hawaiian said about 95% of its workforce are fully vaccinated with about 270 unwilling to get jabbed.
