Croc strike follows fatal shark attack
A woman is recovering in hospital after being bitten on the legs by a saltwater crocodile while swimming from a luxury boat in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
A passenger is believed to have pulled the woman to safety as she was being attacked just metres from the cruise ship, True North. Ԭլ
The 23-year-old woman, an employee of True North, was paddling when a 2m crocodile latched on to her legs. Ԭլ
She was pulled back on to the vessel and flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital.
The crocodile incident follows the death of a 33-year-old male diver who was taken by a shark in Western Australia’s southwest last weekend.
The popular tourist region is officially the deadliest place in the world for shark attacks, after a fourth death in less than seven months
