Cross-channel travellers warned of possible disruption
Cross-channel travellers are being warned there might be continuing disruption caused by two days’ of strikes.
Yesterday, a second day of industrial action by the Calais Chamber of Commerce and Industry prevented some ferries being able to berth.
P&O, DFDS and MyFerryLink advised their customers of the industrial action, saying that services might suffer as a result of ferries being unable to berth in Calais.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: "Calais Port reopened at 5pm local time on 8 June following earlier strike action, but there may be some continuing delays and diversions; contact your travel company for more information and advice."
