CRUISE: Film star treatment on Crystal Cruise
Cruisers can get the film star treatment as Crystal Cruises teams up with the Centre Theatre Group of Los Angeles for its November 2 Film & Theatre voyage.
Entertainment on the specialist cruise includes a spotlight on screen legend Marilyn Monroe as Crystal Symphony sails from New York to Miami.
LA’s Troubadour Theatre Company, or "Troubies", will perform a satirical Shakespeare-meets-cinema-disco musical theatre performance of Midsummer Saturday Night’s Fever Dream.
There will also be presentations from guests such as actress Kate Burton – daughter of Richard
and the current US vice president on hit TV show Scandal.
A dedicated in-stateroom television channel will broadcast classic motion pictures, theatre documentaries and theme presenter insights throughout the voyage.
A multi-course dinner with ‘Marilyn’ as well as movie costumes and red carpet make up tips will be on offer.
The 14-night East Coast and Caribbean cruise starts in New York and visits Baltimore, Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville (maiden call), Turks & Caicos, Curaçao and Aruba before finishing in Miami.
