Cruise line sets up online agent training

Wednesday, 19 Aug, 2005 0

Norwegian Cruise Line has established an online training academy in an effort to educate more agents about selling cruises.

The online cruise academy is in addition to the cruise line’s existing road shows and ship visits and is designed assist a larger number of agents.

Agents have seven modules to complete to have the chance to win one of four cruises, including a trip for two on the new vessel Norwegian Jewel.

Points are awarded for the completion of each module up to a maximum of 10. For every 10 points collected, agents gain access to a prize draw.

NCL head of sales Nick Wilkinson said: “The online cruise academy gives travel agents the chance to learn about the NCL product and the ability to talk to potential customers about the real difference of Freestyle Cruising and the destinations that NCL visits. They can learn at their own pace and in their own time and as with any online product, many more people can get involved through a simple click.”
