Cruise lines adding lure of learning
Learning and enrichment programs are emerging as an increasing trend on cruise vacations, says Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
“Guests aboard CLIA member-line ships give consistently high scores to the cruise lines’ innovative enrichment programs,” said Terry L. Dale, president and CEO of CLIA.
Programs vary from workshops in Shakespearian acting taught by alumni of London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to studying French with a Berlitz instructor or looking at undersea wonders with famous oceanographers.
Guest lecturers also include noted astronomers, best-selling authors and scientists and explorers.
