Cruise passengers vote for their favourite port
Venice has again been named as cruise fans’ favourite port in the world, according to a new YouGov survey to mark the launch of National Cruise Week, which starts on Sunday.
Venice was voted top by 12% of cruise goers. New York came second with 9% of the votes, pushing the Spanish port of Barcelona into third place with 7%.
However, it should be stated that the majority (33%) of the 2,101 people questioned said they didn’t have a favourite port and a further 16% didn’t know which one to choose.
National Cruise Week runs throughout Britain from 19 to 26 September 2010.
