Penthouses, pool areas, an Italian restaurant and café on Crystal Symphony are being revamped at a cost of more than $25 million.
The 922-passenger, 50,000-ton ultra-luxury Crystal Cruises ship will emerge from two weeks of work in dry dock in Boston on October 1.
The luxury ship‘s two 982-square-foot Crystal Penthouses will be stripped and transformed into the feel of residential apartments. Internal space will be extended to enlarge the living spaces and bedroom.
The master bathrooms will have sunken Philippe Stark Duravit Jacuzzi bathtub with 90-degree ocean views, glass mosaics and recessed televisions.
Crystal Symphony’s 61 butler-serviced Penthouses and Penthouse Suites will also be redesigned.
The ship’s Lido Cafe will become an upscale dining spot and the Prego Italian specialty restaurant is being redesigned.
