Cyprus sees rise in UK tourism
Cyprus is expecting 2017 to be a record-breaking year after seeing a 3.6% increase in tourists from January to March.
In the first three months of the year it received 99,503 visitors and the Cyprus Tourism Organisation said it was expecting 2017 to be even better than last year when it received a record 3.2 million arrivals.
The UK is the main marketing for Cyprus, accounting for four out of every 10 arrivals.
CTO UK director Orestis Rossides said: "Visitor figures for 2017 are looking positive and this upward trend is only set to continue. Many travellers are already turning to Cyprus for its year-round sunshine, stunning landscapes, world-class spas and range of activities."
