Deilmann strikes cruise agents deal
Peter Deilmann River Cruises claims to have become the first line to agree an exclusive contract with The Leading Cruise Agents of the UK.
The deal provides exclusive benefits to all LCA Member Agents and their clients who book a selection of 33 cruises across Europe’s major rivers in 2009.
The agreement applies to departures across the year on the Danube, Rhine, Elbe, Seine and the Rhône and Saône.
Benefits for LCA agents include:
· Bonus commission payments
· A cash incentive to booking agents
· Allocations held exclusively for LCA agent clients
Consumer benefits:
· No supplements for single travellers on a selected number of cabins per departure
· ‘Generous’ credit to guests’ on board account to be spent at their discretion.
Peter Deilmann managing director Stuart Perl said: “I am delighted to have agreed an arrangement with the LCA that provides very real exclusive benefits to the agent members and their booking clients.
“The timing of this deal fits in well with the growth in membership and profile of the LCA and I am excited by the prospect of this “win/win†deal that expands our distribution channels whilst offering LCA member agents the opportunity to increase their earnings potential with bonus commissions and staff incentives as well as giving extra value to their customers through specific cruise allocations with no single supplements and an onboard account credit.
“Over the coming year, it’s our intention to work with an increasing number of specialist agents who provide an excellent personalised service to their clients as we know this sits well with our own proposition of five star luxury river cruising.â€
