Delta adding Pittsburgh, New Orleans flights from Boston
Delta fliers in Boston are getting more travel options with nonstop service to Pittsburgh and New Orleans announced.
From October 1, Delta will operate twice-daily nonstop flights to Pittsburgh.
It is the resumption of a route which ended in 2011 but the carrier now says there is demand and is a top business destination from Boston.
Delta will offer the only first class service on the route with CRJ-900 jets operated by Delta Connection carrier Endeavor Air, Inc.
There will also be a weekend seasonal service to New Orleans Louis Armstrong Airport from Boston, beginning February 10 through April 1, 2018.
"Delta is committed to becoming Boston’s global carrier of choice, and we continue to invest in Boston with our new Pittsburgh and New Orleans service for business and leisure customers," said Joe Esposito, Delta vice president of network planning for the Americas.
"Boston continues to play a larger role in Delta’s overall network, and we will continue to invest in new service important to Bostonians."
With the addition of these two routes, the airline’s network at Boston Logan will grow to 103 peak-day departures from October 2017, with Delta and its partners serving 46 destinations including 17 international routes.
