Delta scrapping changes fees for international flights
Delta Air Lines is permanently eliminating most change fees for all international flights originating from North America.
The change takes effect immediately and includes flights operated by joint venture and codeshare partners.
It covers all fare types except basic economy.
Delta already announced the scrapping of change fees for travel within the US, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
"No year has better demonstrated the value of flexibility than this one. Which is why we’re extending our current change fee waiver so customers have the trust and confidence they need long after the pandemic ends," said Delta CEO Ed Bastion.
The airline reaffirmed its pledge to keep blocking the middle seat on all flights through 30 March 2021.
The airline is also scrapping the $150 redeposit fee to cancel an award ticket and the $150 reissue fee to change an award ticket.
