Derbyshire agency wins special ABTA award
Derbyshire independent agency Bakewell Travel has won the ‘Best use of ABTA branding’ award at this year’s Travel Brit Awards.
Butterfly Travel in Bristol and Courtney World Travel in Tewkesbury were also highly commended in the awards, which judged agencies on how well they promote membership of the association.
ABTA said Bakewell Travel was selected as the winner due to its well-placed ABTA logos and the way staff speak about and promote their membership.
Winners were honoured at an awards ceremony at the weekend at Cricket St Thomas hotel in Somerset.
The Travel Brit Awards give agents the chance to try fun-filled activities designed to broaden their knowledge of the domestic industry and key sponsors, followed by a gala dinner with a ‘Red, White and Blue’ theme.
