Diethelm Travel Group acquires Thal DMC Travel Center Asia
Diethelm Travel Group has announced the acquisition of Thailand DMC Travel Center Asia and plans to merge its services starting next month.
The acquisition gives Diethelm more access to key markets in Europe which TCA specialises in.
TCA is noted for its niche special interest tours such as cycling as well as group incentive trips and high-end customised tours.
"Travel Center Asia has long been a prominent DMC, particularly for Thailand travel. Combining the brand’s excellent relationships within Thailand as well as their key accounts in various European markets and Canada, this new acquisition is an excellent complement to Diethelm Travel’s existing Thailand operations," said Diethelm CEO Stephan Roemer.
TCA owner CEO Thomas Maurer will remain with the comoany during the transition and key members of the TCA team will join Diethelm.
I’m confident that the acquisition is a smart move for both entities as each is committed to providing unique Asia travel products throughout the region," Maurer said.
Following the merger Diethelm Travel’s Bangkok HQ will relocate to new offices in Bangkok’s CBD by the beginning of December.
