Disneyland Hong Kong and Zuji join forces
ZUJI customers can now check the price and availability of the hotel rooms in real time, and get instant confirmation of Hong Kong Disneyland resort hotel bookings on ZUJI sites in: Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, India, Taiwan and New Zealand. The hotels can also be booked on other Travelocity-owned sites globally, including via lastminute.com in the United Kingdom.
The Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel are located next to the Disneyland theme park on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Other Disney hotels, such as those at the Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, are already available on ZUJI and Travelocity. A planned future enhancement will allow Hong Kong Disneyland theme park tickets to be sold on-line as well.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Hong Kong Disneyland because it gives us global distribution through Travelocity’s family of online travel websites,” noted Josh D’Amaro, Vice President of sales for Hong Kong Disneyland. “ZUJI is clearly the largest and fastest growing Internet travel site in the Asia Pacific region. By leveraging our experience with ZUJI’s parent company, Travelocity, in the US, we have high expectations for this important distribution agreement.”
Travelocity customers booked 16.6 million hotel room nights across the network in 2006, growth of 30 percent year-over-year. ZUJI, too, is fast establishing itself as the best place to choose hotels in Asia Pacific. ZUJI achieved 62% annual business growth in 2006. ZUJI launched an online travel site in India this year, and also operates various B2B ‘Travel Partner Network’ sites as additional distribution points for hotels throughout Asia Pacific. Hong Kong is the number one international destination booked on ZUJI sites.
Mr Blume commented: “Adding Hong Kong Disneyland hotels to the Travelocity program allows us to connect travellers with even more great hotel experiences in Hong Kong. As the largest online travel company in Asia Pacific, this milestone reinforces our position as the best online travel agent for hotels in Asia Pacific.”
To celebrate, ZUJI is offering an exclusive online booking deal: For every booking / reservation at one of Hong Kong Disneyland hotels on ZUJI, customers can enjoy one full day of Disney magic and adventure with a One-Day Ticket to Hong Kong Disneyland (estimated value HK$350)*.
*Terms and conditions apply:
• Not to be combined with any other Disney offer
• Only ONE complimentary ticket per booking / reservation
• Limited to the first 200 tickets on a first come first serve basis.
