Disruption on cross-Channel ferry routes continues into third day
Eurostar and Le Shuttle train services between the UK and France have resumed today, but cross-Channel ferry services between Dover and Calais remain suspended due to industrial action by MyFerryLink workers.
Eurostar and Le Shuttle said they were operating normal schedules today, with no delays.
Yesterday all services through the tunnel were suspended due to a fire on the train lines in the tunnel.
Ferry operator DFDS said its ferry services to Calais remain suspended this morning due to the industrial action in France which has forced the closure of the Port of Calais for a third consecutive day.
Its services between Dover and Dunkirk are operating, but with delays of up to 90 minutes.
Passengers due to travel to Calais are being diverted to Dunkirk.
