Divorce in Room 604
NASHVILLE – We know hoteliers are always ready to promote a niche product but the Hotel Preston in Nashville has come up with one of the most bizarre with an innovative plan to woo couples headed for splitsville.
It’s the “I do. I did. I’m done” package.
USA Today’s Kitty Bean Yancy says that with half of U.S. marriages ending in divorce, the hotel hopes people can first try to save their marriage.
The package starts with separate rooms on opposite ends of the hotel, after which each partner receives an hour’s consultation with a family lawyer (a list of attorneys is provided).
The hotel throws on a conference room for mediation.
And if things are still looking dicey, there’s an “Ooey gooey” package for one last, long goodbye.
With a late check-out, of course.
For those not contemplating a split with their partner, Hotel Preston has other packages to offer.
How about a “Let’s Make a Baby” package?
Or a couple of martinis in the “Pink Slip” bar?
