Double your money by supporting the Family Holiday Association

Monday, 30 Nov, 2010 0

Those contributing to the Family Holiday Association this Christmas will make a double impact on helping disadvantaged kids, thanks to a £20,000 pot of cash supplied by TUI and online charity fundraising site The Big Give.

Anyone donating money in the week beginning December 6 will have their donation matched pound-for-pound up to a maximum of £5,000.

The Family Holiday Association helps thousands of low-income families, often the victims of domestic abuse, long-term illness or bereavement, take their first ever trip to the seaside and it aims to help 2,000 UK families in 2011 who desperately need a break from sometimes overwhelmingly difficult home lives.

Director of the Family Holiday Association John McDonald said: “Travel professionals have
always been particularly generous towards the charity, so we hope that you won’t miss this
opportunity to make a donation that will have twice the value, giving you twice the impact through our work.”
