DriveAway Holidays formally announces Kylee Kay’s resignation
In a release issued by Ray Smith, National Sales Manager for DriveAway late yesterday and as revealed in TravelMole yesterday, DriveAway has formally announced the resignation of Managing Director Kylee Kay due to personal reasons.
DriveAway added though that the company and Kylee, however, are in discussions to maintain her involvement in the company moving forward. In what form though is not known,
Driveaway also confirmed that Daniel Kearney has been appointed as the new Managing Director, Daniel having worked with DriveAway for more than 7 years in a number of senior management positions including Financial Controller and most recently, Operations Manager.
The release said that Daniel has said he is looking forward to the challenges ahead which include “building upon the strong foundations laid in previous years to remain market leader and uphold the relationships built with all sectors of the travel community”.
It is not clear yet if Daniel will take over Kylee’s non-Executive roles as sh is listed as the sole Australian based Director of Driveaway Pty Ltd and Kemwel Pty Ltd, it being a statutory requirement to have an Australian Director.
