Dubai in travel trade push
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is hosting a series of roadshows directed at UK agents and operators.
The “Dubai Invest In Your Future” roadshows will be in Manchester on 28 June, Glasgow on 29 June, and London on 30 June and 1 July.
The workshops will be attended by 30 Dubai suppliers including hoteliers and ground handlers, who will update attendees on Dubai’s tourism offering. Operators and conference and meeting organisers are encouraged to make one-to- one appointments with suppliers, which will be followed by an exhibition for all attending and a Middle Eastern meal.
Dubai is currently hosting Arabian Travel Market.
According to DTCM, over 600,000 Britons visited Dubai last year, up 30% from the previous year.
The destination has a target of 15 million worldwide visitors by 2010.
