EasyJet crew help passenger pop the question
EasyJet crew helped a passenger propose to his girlfriend on a recent flight from London Luton to Palma.
Matthew Hedges, 32, from Marlow, popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, Zosia Katnik, 30, mid-way through the flight on July 10.
He had planned the romantic proposal with help from the Captain and cabin crew of flight EZY2277.
The event began with an announcement from the Captain, who identified Zosia by her seat number and name during his mid-flight update, promising her a memorable flight.
Beckoned to the front, Matthew and the cabin crew then organised themselves and returned to Zosia’s seat where crew held up three cards, together reading the question ‘Will. You. Marry Him?’
Getting down on one knee, Matthew then revealed the engagement ring and asked the all-important question.
Thankfully Zosia said yes!
The couple were given a bottle of champagne and were invited to visit the cockpit once the flight had landed.
They plan to revisit Majorca next year to plan their wedding and will return again to tie the knot in 2018.
An easyJet spokesman said: "We were excited to be asked to be involved in the couple’s big moment and would like to congratulate them on their on board engagement."
